- The main Policy Makers and planners of industries specialized in plastic materials recovery and recycling
- Industrial/commercial actors of plastic materials Recovery and Recycling industries able to open or start-up markets for Ariel output materials

Key actors and stakeholders involved include representatives with decision-making power from:
- regional authority (Regione Toscana) Department of environment and territory, waste management unit;
- regional environment agency (ARPAT) waste monitoring and control office; statistics office;
- provincial authorities governing the area served by Ariel partners: Florence, Prato and Pistoia waste management and spatial planning units;
- functional area waste management authorities (ATO): managers of current ATO5, ATO6, ATO10; (possibly aggregated in ATO CENTRO by the time of project implementation, as foreseen by regional law LR 204, 2007);
- provincial authority of Pisa, waste management and spatial planning units, because its landfill in Peccioli receives significant waste flows from current ATO5, ATO6, ATO10 (future ATO CENTRO);
- waste policy managers of the 73 interested municipalities served by Ariel partners;
- public service companies association (Confservizi CISPEL Toscana), waste commission;
- plastics national recycling consortia established by law (COREPLA, CONAI);
- other regional waste and recycling utilities; Industry Associations (provincial charters of Confindustria, CNA, Confartigianato, API, Confcooperative, Federcooperative, and others);
- most representative consumer associations (ADUC, Adiconsum, Adusbef, Federconsumatori, and others);
- most representative environmental associations (WWF, Legambiente, Italia Nostra, Comitati locali, and others).
